Vinil Picture Disc - Relançamento 2012-2013 - Vinil 180g - 2017

Vinil Picture Disc Collection (2012-2013)

Uma edição especial limitada de discos de vinil será lançada pela EMI a partir de outubro de 2012. Composto pelos oito primeiros álbuns da carreira do Maiden, todos lançados na década de 1980, os álbuns ganharão novas versões no formato "Picture Vinyl" com embalagens especiais e produzidos a partir das fitas master originais do álbum.

Os álbuns serão liberados cronologicamente entre outubro e fevereiro, começando com 'Iron Maiden' e 'Killers' em 15 de outubro de 2012, seguido de 'The Number of the Beast' e 'Piece of Mind' em novembro de 2012.

Para abrir o ano novo 'Powerslave' e o álbum duplo 'Live After Death' serão lançados em Janeiro, e os dois últimos títulos, 'Somewhere in Time' e 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son' sairão em fevereiro de 2013.

Esta série especial de discos está sendo lançada em comemoração ao sucesso da "Maiden England Tour", que compreende em grande parte material da década de 1980, focando em particular no álbum 'Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son'.

E posteriormente em 2017 seria lançados a 2 pt. do box com os demais álbuns, tendo o box local para abrigar até o álbum The Book of Souls, no caso deste lançamento o maiden priorizou a volta ao tradicional vinil preto, no caso em vinil de 180g para todos os álbuns, do No Prayer ... até o En Vivo!.

Vinil Picture Disc

Antigamente, quando se tratava do lançamento de um novo álbum em versão vinil, se deparava com o tradicional vinil preto, ou às vezes de uma outra cor, hoje em dia a prática de lançar um disco em vinil mudou muito, pois nem todos acabam por gostar deste formato, devido a isso são lançados em versão picture vinil, com encartes perfeitos e geralmente em capa dupla, de maneira limitada visando um grupo em específico "colecionadores". O Maiden por sua vez adotou SOMENTE o estilo picture vinil a partir do álbum Brave New World do ano 2000, de lá para cá todos os lançamentos em vinil, são em edições pictures. ENTRETANTO nos anos 80 e 90 o Maiden lançou algumas versões pictures de alguns álbuns e singles, sendo na época lançada a versão em vinil normal e a picture, desta fase podemos citar os álbuns The Number of the Beast (82), Piece of Mind (83), Powerslave (84), Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (88) e o No Prayer for the Dying (90).
